Icebreaker - landing barge hire

• 12 m, self-propelled, landing barge.  
• Maneuverable, low wheelhouse which makes it perfect to get under bridges
• Easily handles trucks, drill rigs, concrete trucks, cranes.  
• Comes with 5.5t extended reach excavator - with a grab, hammer, auger, mud buckets, ripper, trenching bucket, tilting hitch, and is rubber tracked.  
• Also teamed with skid steer - rubber tracked, 4 in 1 bucket, spreader, and forks.
• Our Icebreaker barge is self-propelled, so when hired comes with a fully qualified Cox to operate it.

Perfect purpose-built barge for all canal and river maintenance and construction. Hydraulic ramps mean no double handling - trucks can back on and dump rock or back on and to site.

Elvis - Work punt hire

Sassy - work punt hire

• 5.9 m work punt.
• Fitted with a push frame
• Sassy makes light work of dumb barge logistics.  

Work punt Sassy teamed with a small dumb barge (pictured here with L’il Dumbo) is perfect for dredging canals and weeding beaches with a 3-tonne excavator on the small dumb barge.

Road ready as a team, L’il Dumbo and Sassy are perfect for bridge work in remote or hard to reach locations.

Sassy teamed with a Dumbo, a modular steel dumb barges 3 m x 2 m each.

This team have spuds which hold the barge in place making it stable and maneuverable, an added advantage is without the ramp the reach of the excavator is increased.

This option is road transport and ready to work in rivers and lakes throughout anywhere in South East Queensland.

Kirra - work punt hire

Kirra is a 5.95 m self-propelled work punt fitted with twin 60 Yamaha outboard motors.

Fitted with a 1-tonne crane, Kirra is a great workboat. Purpose built as a mooring barge, Kirra also has a frame and winch with a moon pool to lift and inspect as well as install moorings.

The moon pool is covered when not in use.

Kirra can be transported with tilt tray and pilot. She has her own trailer which makes her an amazingly versatile work punt or barge.

Whether you are planning a function on the water needing platforms, a builder or engineer looking for a platform for a rig or scaffolding to safety sit, a filmmaker looking for a platform to use for lighting or camera rigging, or a fireworks company modular work platforms are the perfect solution for your needs.

Gold Coast Barges offer a variety of platform combination to suit all applications. Currently, we have a portable dumb barge (L’il Dumbo) capable of a 3-tonne loading which is ideal for lakes and canals for dredging and as a platform.

Dumbo - portable dumb barge

Dumbo is capable of holding 20-tonnes and can be purpose-built for rock work in remote locations and waterways not accessible by larger barges due to size restrictions or logistical issues.
